interview for creative practice

- BA (Hons) Creative Practice

had my interview for creative practice on thursday,
they had one to one with me and i talked through my portfolio and then they definately put me on the spot as they asked 6-10 questions which they would want immediate answers from.

questions about supporting yourself, the economy, working as team, problem solving, technology and discipline, such as:-

  • who inspires you?-my mam, never gives up and reliable.
  • why should we take you on this course?-hardworking, willing to listen, good attendance and punctuality, have the drive to wan to succeed.
  • what economical factor has contributed to your area of discipline?-tution fees going up, meaning less students and more jobs available in time.
  • how do you work as a team? i give my ideas and the other members give their ideas and talk about them and disscuss where to take ideas from there.
  • how do solve problems? i showed her in my skecth book how a logo design wasnt working so changed the alter positon to make it work and looking at other ideas that may also make it work.
i was able to answer the question straight away with no hesitation and was quite proud how i handled it as soemtimes for me it can feel abit awkward when put on the spot and would usually hesitate, so again it has shown how i have grown and become more knowledgeable and know what to expect and to sell my self as designer rather than to ssay i did this, this and this, i say how and why i did this to aswell the brief now.
